Work: team of 2 students
Time: 3 weeks (150 minutes)
Objective: Create a video 4 to 5 minutes in length in which you and your classmate explain what, where, when and with whom you study.
NOTES: ANY VIDEO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES WILL HAVE 20 POINTS DEDUCTED FROM THE FINAL GRADE OF THE PROJECT.
You may use photostory if you don't have a camcorder.
Instructions:
1.Each student has to narrate half of the video.
2.First write your script. You need to include the following information: your major, the names of your classes, the times, the buildings where you take them, name the people you study with, which class is your favorite, which classes are easy and which classes are difficult.
3.Decide what scenes or pictures you will use.
4.Shoot the video or take the pictures. You may use pictures from the VCU site.
5.You may record video and audio at the same time or the audio and add the pictures later. Don't forget to save your files often.
6.Both of you have to upload the same video to your e-portfolio. You may name it Mi universidad, or any other name in Spanish.
Suggestions:
You may use Photo Story or any video editor for Windows, or iMovie for Mac to edit your video. When you write your script, set the language to Spanish to get help with the spelling. You may base your video on a composition that you have written or are writing in class.
Extra: Mention your favorite time of the day to study, what music you listen to when you study, etc.
OFF- Only For Fun: Pretend to study at a real university from a Spanish speaking country. Use the pictures from that university's web site. Give yourself a Spanish name. Say that you work at that university teaching English or computers.
