Work: team of 3 students
Time: 3 weeks (150 minutes)
Objectives: Create a video tour of Richmond that is 4 to 5 minutes in length.
NOTES: 20 POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED FORM THE FINAL GRADE OF THE PROJECT IF a) YOUR VIDEO IS 6 MINUTES OR LONGER, b) YOUR VIDEO IS LESS THAN 3 MINUTES LONG.
Instructions:
1.Imagine that a company or the government of a Spanish speaking country is hiring your team to create a video about Richmond. You are free to talk about history, a particular place in the city, the river, the architecture, famous or ordinary people. You have to include a celebration (4th of July, Martin Luther King) or a life event (a wedding, a birthday). Decide what you will include in your video and write a script.
2.At least two members have to narrate the video and the third member has to appear in it. Everybody should have something to do: write, narrate and/or act, and edit the video.
3. Each member has to upload the video to their e-portfolio.
Suggestions:
Use pictures if you don't have a camcorder. You may also get pictures from the Times Dispatch or other online publications. Use humor.
You may produce a PowerPoint or Photostory file instead of a video.
OFF:
Shoot the video at at real party or celebration. Pretend you that one of you is a famous Richmonder and gives an interview for this video. You may include scenes or pictures of Latin stores in Richmond.
